“Don’t Wait” Goes Steampunk

Yesterday I said the rules for enterprise social media conversations are:

1. Don’t wait.
2. Obey the Golden Rule
3. Don’t drop the ball.

I also repeated the maxim: “Conditions are never just right. People who delay action until all factors are favorable do nothing.” William Feather, Author.

Hey, it’s all over Twitter, not to mention the Web. Here is a slide presentation that has to be one of the best designed presentations I have ever seen, and which says much better than I have most of the ideas I’ve presented over the past couple weeks. The core concept of the presentation elaborates on the core idea of why you don’t want to wait to get involved in social media. Seth Goldstein makes the slides funny, engaging, and frames the contemporary concepts in a historical frame (thus the “steampunk” adjective). Worth looking at several times, downloading, bookmarking, archiving … make sure you catch this one!
